Karthikeya Meesala is known for his popular innovations in his hometown – Piezo-Electric shoes and a fully biodegradable water purifier. With Piezo-Electric shoes, one can charge their smartphones, Bluetooth speakers, etc. The purifier on the other hand, cleanses water, making it consumable.
Karthikeya is a student at Sri Chaitanya Tech High School in Rajam, Andhra Pradesh. The 16-year-old won the Happy Cities Hackathon in 2018, emerged as the state-level winner and Nationals finalist of Inspire Awards – MANAK and participated in the Google Code to Learn 2017.
Karthikeya was recently selected to participate at the prestigious 2020 Asian World Model United Nations IV which will be held on July 3-6, 2020 in Bali, Republic of Indonesia. The registration costs, flight, accommodation, and miscellaneous expenses add up to Rs. 80,000.
Karthikeya stays with his widowed mother who works as a tailor.

Still 45% funds are required to meet the target goal.
